Student Registration

If you are a full-time college or university student we are offering a discounted rate. IMPORTANT: Before you register, please email a copy of your transcript to registration@alanet.org and request the discount code. Once you receive your exclusive code, please click on the red button above, register and enter the code as instructed.

Note

Meals and special events are included within the days referenced by your registration selection. Some functions may also be purchased separately for guests or in addition to your registration.

To help reduce food waste and plan appropriate room sets, please indicate if you will not be attending any included meal or special event by removing it from your registration itinerary.

Registration Eligibility

Registration fees are based on membership status (ALA member or nonmember) on the date registration and payment are received (by 11:59 p.m. Central Time); however, all member rates are contingent on the member renewing his or her full ALA 2018 membership. ALA members may register for the Annual Conference at the member rates noted on the registration form. Nonmember registration is restricted to individuals who are not currently members of ALA but who do meet the eligibility requirements for ALA membership. Guest Registration

The purchase of a guest registration is restricted to guests of registrants only. A guest may not be someone eligible for membership in ALA, a business partner or a supplier who is not exhibiting. Please note that one drink ticket is included with the Welcome Reception; a cash bar is available for additional beverages. There will be a glass of wine served with the Awards Gala Dinner and an open beer, wine and soft-drink bar at the Grand Finale.

Registration Policies

Photo/Video Policy

Registration (attendee and exhibitor) and payment for the Conference gives consent that any pictures, video or audio recording taken during ALA and ALA-related events can be used for Conference coverage and future ALA promotional purposes. ALA is able to use your likeness without remuneration.

Cancellations

All cancellations require a written request and can be sent to registration@alanet.org. Cancellation notifications via social media (e.g., posting on our Facebook page or a tweet) are not accepted. The following cancellation fees will apply:

Please note: No-shows and late cancellations forfeit the full registration fees.

Substitutions

A substitute from the registrant’s organization or chapter is permitted for a $149 administrative fee. The substitute’s registration fee will be adjusted if a nonmember replaces an ALA member. Please submit a written request to registration@alanet.org for processing.
